Trapper Schoepp & the Shades in Hudson N.Y. w/s/g the Last Conspirators and Nightmares For A Week!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Trapper Schoepp & the Shades to Play In Hudson.

Friday, June 28th

Radio Warfare Presents: Trapper Schoepp & the Shades Friday, June 28th, at 8pm, at the Half Moon in Hudson N.Y. with special guests the Last Conspirators and Nightmares For A Week! The Milwaukee-based rock 'n' roll band, Trapper Schoepp & the Shades, have currently been touring with the Wallflowers and the Old 97's in support of their new album Run, Engine, Run out now on SideOneDummy Records and will be making a rare small-club appearance in Hudson.

Alternative Press  says this about the heartland rockers: “Replacements-meets-Uncle Tupelo influence rings clear…Trapper Schoepp & The Shades can only get better.” … FUSE TV adds "This Wisconsin outfit–led by one of two brothers—are as capable of kicking roots rock ass as they are delivering introspective Gram Parsons-tinged tunes."  The 22 year old Trapper Schoepp has the ear of a troubadour, the eye of a journalist and the heart of a young poet. He began writing songs at a tender age with startling facility, distilling rock, folk and country traditions into tunes that are at turns spirited and melancholy. Themes ranging from pride of place, love and adventure shine with surprisingly sophisticated metaphors for a songwriter so young. Run, Engine, Run won’t be out of place filed next to other artists distinguished for their early talent like Justin Townes Earle, Ha Ha Tonka and Lucero. The Shades will be joined on this show by two Hudson Valley powerhouse bands, psychedelic punk lords the Last Conspirators and Kingston N.Y. based punk-rockers Nightmares For A Week.

ALL MUSIC GUIDE calls the Last Conspirators “a powerful rock & roll band whose sound fuses old-school punk, roots rock, and heartland rock, with fierce, often politically charged lyrics on top. The Last Conspirators are fronted by singer and songwriter Tim Livingston a pioneering figure on the punk scene in New York State’s Hudson Valley.”  The Big Takeover Magazine says about the Last Cons: "If you want to know where the real songwriters in punk are this day and age, look no further”. The band is poised to release their third album this year.

Nightmares For A Week are currently touring behind their latest full length release Civilian War and have been delivering their power-packed, Uncle Tupelo, All, The Replacements, Lucero, influenced punk-rock to audiences since 2008. Under The Gun says: "Civilian War really exemplifies just how ridiculously underrated and overlooked this punk act is, but it also gives you hope that won’t be the case for long. If there’s one thing to take from this, it’s that good new school rock and roll bands like Nightmares For A Week can still emerge from the underground without support from some major label."

This trio of bands will make for a fun-filled, beer-soaked onslaught of real rock & roll!

The Half Moon is the newest saloon/club to open in the thriving arts community of Hudson N.Y. and is located by the train station on 44-48 S. Front St, Hudson, New York 12534. Phone: (518) 828-1562. The bar also features a pool table and an outside deck.

Radio Warfare  can be heard monthly, the 4th Tuesday at 7pm, on WGXC 90.7-FM and streaming live from Hudson N.Y. with two and a half hours of garage rock, punk, power-pop, shakin' rock & roll and crunchy guitar instros!

A powerful rock & roll band whose sound fuses old-school punk, roots rock, and heartland rock, with fierce, often politically charged lyrics on top. The Last Conspirators are fronted by singer and songwriter Tim Livingston a pioneering figure on the punk scene in New York State’s Hudson Valley... true believers, keeping the rock & roll flame burning even if it may no longer be fashionable to do so.. coming across like an Americanized version of the Clash… the Last Conspirators.. waging war against complacency and cherishing the rebels and outsiders on the fringes of American culture. .. raging against the light, whether it's dying or burning bright.”
