From the recording History 2006-2016

Pissed off about a certain situation at the moment in which I felt a bit betrayed. The lyrics came rapid fire in my head while driving to Terry' for a writing session. Terry worked up the arrangement pretty quickly and we had the song written. A rush of anger that only lasted 2:30. All is well that ends well. The situation took care of itself.

Lyrics

This is not a time for egos. Divide and conquer we shall fall. We must stand our ground together. With our backs against the wall. You said we were in this thing forever. We'd go down with it in flames. But now I see you are a traitor. Playing two-faced bloody games. This a not no time for egos. I need you and you need me. We must fight this fight together. It's the way it has to be. This is not a time for egos. I thought perhaps you had my back here. But now I see your cutthroat game. Don't you realize what's at stake here. We're coming down to final days. This is not a time for egos. Divide and conquer we shall fall. We must stand our ground together. With our backs against the wall. This a not no time for egos. I need you and you need me. We must fight this fight together. It's the way it has to be.

A powerful rock & roll band whose sound fuses old-school punk, roots rock, and heartland rock, with fierce, often politically charged lyrics on top. The Last Conspirators are fronted by singer and songwriter Tim Livingston a pioneering figure on the punk scene in New York State’s Hudson Valley... true believers, keeping the rock & roll flame burning even if it may no longer be fashionable to do so.. coming across like an Americanized version of the Clash… the Last Conspirators.. waging war against complacency and cherishing the rebels and outsiders on the fringes of American culture. .. raging against the light, whether it's dying or burning bright.”
