From the recording History 2006-2016

Sometimes you just don't know what the universe has in store for you. You look of answers in the palm of your hand. This started out as a slow mystical tune, until one night my future wife (and subject of the questions in the song at the time) while listening to a demo said " this one needs a change, better music". The next day at Nick's house for one of our frequent writing sessions I said "what do think of changing up "Fortune Teller"? to which Nick said, "yeah I was thinking the same thing last night and I have an idea.." He then played this upbeat power-pop version. The direction of the album and my life was becoming clear.

Lyrics

Please tell me is this the way, the way out of here Is this the exit that I take to finally get, out of here look into my weary eyes and tell me what do you see stare into these deep blue pools and tell me what do you see gaze into your crystal ball and tell me is there a future for you & me look into the palm of hand and tell me what do you, do you seeLay down your Tarot cards and tell me is this the truth stare into my wasted soul and tell me is this the truth, is it the truth As we enter the our darkest hour, tell me what do you see drift into the wee wee hours, what do you, think of me all of history, all the years past, pass before my eyes all the gray fades to black, dividing truth and the, and the lies gaze into your crystal ball and tell me is there a future for you & me look into the palm of hand and tell me what do you, do you see lay down your tarot hand and tell me, whats in, the cards for me Look into the future world and tell me what do you see., what do you see..what do you see.. what do you see.. what do you... see..

A powerful rock & roll band whose sound fuses old-school punk, roots rock, and heartland rock, with fierce, often politically charged lyrics on top. The Last Conspirators are fronted by singer and songwriter Tim Livingston a pioneering figure on the punk scene in New York State’s Hudson Valley... true believers, keeping the rock & roll flame burning even if it may no longer be fashionable to do so.. coming across like an Americanized version of the Clash… the Last Conspirators.. waging war against complacency and cherishing the rebels and outsiders on the fringes of American culture. .. raging against the light, whether it's dying or burning bright.”
