  1. Addiction

From the recording History 2006-2016

Another number from the creative wave that broke right before the recording of the album. The Last Conspirators were considered a punk band by many, due in part to my origins with the Morons, but in reality they were a diverse rock and roll band and "Addiction" was one such departure for the band. A bonafide funk number built around a killer Nick Bisanz guitar hook and my lyrics of obsession. I was pleased with the smokey, swaggering vocal performance I delivered as it was very natural, right in the pocket of my range. Encouraged by album producer, Chris Fisher, Nick beefed up the original guitar part with couple more guitar lines, written on the spot in the studio, that greatly enhanced the overall vibe. This one broadened the airplay for the band on some stations that previously shied away from the "punk" band.

Lyrics

use you to eliminate my sorrow I use you to qualify my pain I use you to forget about tomorrow I use you and you have me just the same All I know.. is that I need you so and all I know.. is I can't let you go All I know.. is that I need you so and all I know.. is I can't let you go.. Walk away while there is still ground left to walk on Bite ours tongues when there‘s nothing left to say I’m the one that you have left the your mark on The scars of time remind us everyday So come on down.. and save my soul Change my ways for all to behold Come on down lets make a deal For all I want.. is to once again… feel All I know.. is that I need you so and all I know.. is I can't let you go, All I know.. is that I need you so and all I know.. is I can't let you go...

A powerful rock & roll band whose sound fuses old-school punk, roots rock, and heartland rock, with fierce, often politically charged lyrics on top. The Last Conspirators are fronted by singer and songwriter Tim Livingston a pioneering figure on the punk scene in New York State’s Hudson Valley... true believers, keeping the rock & roll flame burning even if it may no longer be fashionable to do so.. coming across like an Americanized version of the Clash… the Last Conspirators.. waging war against complacency and cherishing the rebels and outsiders on the fringes of American culture. .. raging against the light, whether it's dying or burning bright.”
