(HUDSON, NY) - Did you know that Tim Livingston was once a Moron? (The first band that he was in and one of the first Punk bands in Albany.) Now, he’s just a Conspirator (as in The Last Conspirators, the band he’s presently in.)
The high-flying and spirited lead singer for The Last Conspirators will once again be on the bill for the fourth annual Hudson Music Festival on Saturday, August 9, 2pm at 7th Street Park stage on Warren St. (the Hudson Music Festival runs August 8-10 in Hudson, NY.) He and his bandmates, drummer Al Kash, guitarist Nick Bisanz and bassist Mike Grundy released their third torrent of sound, A Celebration of Fury (Driving Rain Music) last year and will not doubt unbridle that fury at the Festival.
"(The) Last Conspirators started as kind of a studio project in 2005. The first album came out in 2007 and that's when we started playing live and we've been going ever since."
The Last Conspirators were recently seen in Albany at The Low Beat with what online ‘zine Nippertown said was “a blistering set of originals, peppered with a few surprise cover songs by the Morons, the Ramones and David Bowie.”
A rocker by night, Livingston keeps both oars in the water by day as the Director of Sales and Publicity at Sundazed Music, the twenty-five year old specialty reissue record company in Coxsackie, NY. On the fourth Tuesday of each month, Livingston hosts Radio Warfare on WGXC 90.7 FM (wgxc.org) where he keeps it “upbeat and rockin’!” for two-and-a-half hours filled with “garage rock, punk, shakin' rock & roll and crunchy guitar instros” and focusing on local and regional music, past and present.
WGXC 90.7 FM will air a pre-recorded interview with Tim Livingston on Saturday, August 9 during its Saturday Morning Seriel show with host Tom Roe starting at 11am.
